Progression of the SEDUCER

The Seducer is coming around. He is still very much in the development phase, and of course needs further simplification and a name (any suggestions ???). I tend to think in detail and need to break out of that habit to make this guy suitable for 2d.
But I think what is successful for this character thus far is his attitude and look. He came around to really come off in that creepy, last guy you would ever want to hit on you sort of way.

Thanks for checking in! :)

The Seducer

So I have just graduated from SCAD, and since I do not have a job in line quite yet, my goal is to learn animation as quickly as possible. But I am taking the first step to develop a character. I have a couple in mind, and this guy is a very strong candidate.

He is heavily inspired from SNL's "The Continental" and Dudley Moore's role in "Foul Play." Both characters were intent on seducing women, but were largely unsuccessful. This guy is still in the works, I just figured I would put out a precursor to the final. I think he might need to come off more creepy than this, but this is the general direction I think I want to take him.

Well, If you don't mind, let me know what you think, and any stories or advice would be greatly appreciated!

a fun character sketch

I've been doing a few characters here and there in my spare time, and I figured I would throw this one up for you guys to see.

He somewhat inspired from Charlie Chaplin, and I might even turn him into Chaplin. I've just been doodling here and there to inspire myself for this summer, when I finally learn to animate!!
I can't wait. Ive been anticipating having this time for a while now, and with graduation here, I can finally develop characters and animate them!! YEAH!

I hope you all like him!

background painting

yo dudes,

this is a background for an animated short called "This Side Up." (http://dreamdelivery.blogspot.com/) the film is directed by Zane Yarbrough and Scott Vanarsdale, two very talented artists.

This was my only contribution to the film, but I had a lot of fun painting it, and I think it came out pretty cool. The shot starts out focus on the main character sitting on the crate, and then trucks out to reveal all of the packages on top of this boat. To catch the rest, you'll just have to seen the film when it is eventually released.

I hope you enjoy and there will soon be more paintings to come!
